There are some great projects already linked up at the Main Garden Party page. You can still link up your ideas and enter the CSN Stores Giveaway. (They have everything from Solar lights to indoor furniture and toys.)  on the link above.

I hope that all the different links haven’t been too confusing…I didn’t intend it to be. I guess too much of even a good thing can be confusing…and giveaways are GOOD! :-)

So, to try and keep things sorted out, I’m going to have a running list of links today and tomorrow to try and keep us all directed to the right place! If you get a little too warm from the sun and hopping around, have a glass of fresh raspberry lemonade.

It will cool you off and refresh you while you window shop and enter the giveaways!

Today’s Giveaway is from Christy of Embellished Bayou. I found Christy through a linky party and I really enjoy her very creative blog. She also has an Etsy shop with the cutest frames! She is sharing one of them with us! Isn’t it darling? Very girly girl!

This wood frame has been hand-painted hot pink. It is embellished with a yellow floral bow and a bright blue gerber daisy and further accented with sparkly blue butterflies. The frame is approximately 2.25" wide and measures 8"x8" overall. The opening is for a 3.5"x3.5” photo. Glass and backing are included. Frame must be displayed on a tabletop or you could add your own hanger to hang it on a wall.
Christy said she can personalize this frame with the winner's name, initial, monogram or short phrase if they so choose.
This would be an awesome gift! Please visit Embellished Bayou Etsy and come back here to leave a comment on your favorite item in her store!

Also, if you have entered an idea or project on the Main Garden Party Page, then this giveaway is for YOU!

Miss Jenny of Miss Jenny’s Soap is graciously sponsoring my “Thank you for linking up” gift! She will give you the basic soap of your choice just for linking up! She’s nice like that! :-) Miss Jenny is local, and a homeschooling mom…I know her in real life! Go check out her soaps here so that you are ready to let her know what you want when we draw your name!

I discovered these while browsing:

Shampoo Bar Peppermint and Rosemary
Our peppermint and rosemary soap/shampoo is
designed to be gentle, cleansing, and long lasting. It
has a nice mint-y aroma and lots of bubbles!

AND soap for pets!! It’s actually her Bug Repellant soap! I’ll be ordering some of each!

Good Morning! It’s a lovely morning here in the North Georgia Mountains! A beautiful day for a garden party!! I’m glad you could make it. I’m very excited about this!! I can’t wait to see all the fun projects that will be here! I’m afraid that I will be so inspired that my real garden will go neglected while I craft! :-) Please link up your summer, outdoor or garden ideas to share. Then mingle and chat by visiting each others projects and leave comments! Check out the daily giveaway and leave appropriate comments to be entered in the drawing for that door prize!

I hope that I haven’t made this too confusing with all the different links for the giveaways, but I needed to keep them separate! Check back later today and each day for more giveaways!!!

Garden Party Update!

What a time to disappear for 3 days…right before the party! Well, I’m back and just in time! :-) I’ll give you the condensed version of the weekend. We took the boys to the Dizzy Dean All-Stars, 2 hours from home. Although they played hard, we lost. Since my daughter lives in that area, we picked up 2 of my grandsons and brought them home for the week.

Father’s Day was awesome! We had all but 2 of our children home…even that is a rare occasion, so I didn’t get near the computer! Yesterday, was a major “catch up” day and I’m still not caught up! This morning I figured that I had better make the time or it just wasn’t going to happen! So, here we go!

Tomorrow is the big party! I’m so excited!  If this is the first time that you have heard about my Garden Party, here are the details. The party begins at 9am eastern time tomorrow and ends at 9 pm Friday. Please bring a garden, outdoor or summer project to share via linky. Mingle by visiting some of the other projects shown, and make conversation by leaving a comment on the projects that you have found inspiring. There will be different giveaways each day. The details on those are here. It will be a fun and lively party! I am working on a couple of projects to share. This is one that I couldn’t wait to do or share! My daughter found these while we were at the thrift store last week.

She said “These are some cool skewers” and as I looked over, my heart started beating faster…I said “Yes they are. Do you want them?”  She replied “uh-uh, but I thought you might like’em.” ‘Nuff said! I grabbed them out of her hands, took them from her as she offered them and said “These will make awesome garden stakes!”

Even though the ceramic tops are pretty self explanatory, I wanted to dress them up a bit with their names. I thought that a small ceramic tile with their name in vinyl might work. I couldn’t find what I was seeing in my head and started to get discouraged until I found these at Home Depot:

They are awesome! Small glass tiles! They are glued to mesh to hold them together, but they peel up easily. I cut their names out in vinyl with my Craft Robo and stuck them on with Gorilla Super glue. EASY!

Here they are all ready to go out in the garden!

I’ll be bringing them to the party!

Things were still happening even though I was gone! I opened my email yesterday to find that my Dressed up Solar Light

made the top 10 over at the CSI Project for the Dollar Store Challenge!

And my DIY Gazing Ball,

[114_15374.jpg](which I may have found a new stand for)…was featured by Ginger at Super Stinky Boys!

If you are a mom of boys, you gotta check out her blog! (Steph, are you reading this??:)
Thank you ladies for the honor!!!
I still have lots of catching up to do, including returning emails and some more giveway info! So stay tuned and check your email, I haven’t forgotten you! ;-)
I can’t wait to see all your projects!

I’m going to share my markers at these parties:

My Friday Fail!

Last week I had two fails to show off and Nikki was closing on her house, and couldn’t have a party! Well, she’s ready to party now, so bring your craft fails and let’s party at Nikki’s Fail Friday! I only have one fail to share though, ‘cause I fixed the other one! I reworked my original plan and got my solar light to work!

While we were at Tybee Island, found a lot of lovely crushed shell105_1394

and thought it would look oh so good all glued to the outside of a flower pot. I even got started while I was down there. First I found a Dollar Tree close and bought a small flower pot. Then I coated it in Aleenes Clear Tacky glue 105_1291

and rolled it in sand. 105_1293

When that dried, I put more glue on and rolled and pressed on some of the crushed coquina shells. 105_1395

It looked good when I finished if I do say so myself. 105_1397

When I got home and caught up with other things around here, I repotted two of my spider plants and put one in the beachy pot for my bathroom. I gave it a nice drink of water and set it on the sink. I came in later to find that all that pretty shell was on a downward slide!110_6904

I guess Aleene’s isn’t water proof…I don’t know, I didn’t read, but it sure doesn’t look like it! My spider plant looked happier in it’s old crowded home too! :-( So there you have it, my Friday Fail!

My other fixed fail114_1592

was featured by Michelle at Someday Crafts! Thank you Michelle!

Finding out you’ve been featured is a great way to end the week! Colleen over at
has featured my faux stone planter
in her post on faux finishes!
Thank you Colleen!
We are headed out to the 9 yo Dizzy Dean All Stars for baseball…it’s gonna be a hot one! If we do well, I may be MIA from blog land til Monday!
Have an awesome weekend!
